Friends of the Library

The Friends of the Library is a voluntary, non-profit registered charity founded in 1990 to promote programs, services, and facilities at the Huntsville Public Library.

What we do:

  • Improve library collections
  • Buy equipment like computers, lounge chairs, gallery hangings, etc.
  • Provide funding for performers in partnership with the Royal Canadian Legion during March Break and summertime
  • Provide funds for capital projects

How we raise funds:

  • Sell books from the boutique at the front of the library
  • Special book sales at Christmas and during spring and summer
  • Donations

New members are welcome. We meet six to eight times per year at the Library.

Donate to the Friends

Donations keep us going and every dollar goes directly to future improvements and purchases. Donations of $15 and more receive a tax receipt.

Charity registration number: 888319464
